<p>This joint presentation will provide insights into the Workshop&rsquo;s practical, mentor-based process<br />which helps people prepare a business plan for future success.</p>

<p><br />Alex Brooks (EW 07) is a co-founder and CEO of Marathon Robotics, a Sydney-based<br />company which commercialises state-of-the art robotics technology, building automonous<br />mobile robotic targets for military training. Previously Alex worked in Australia and the USA , in<br />R&amp;D and business development roles for a multinational telecommunications company. Alex<br />has a PhD in robotics from the University of Sydney, specialising in autonomous robot<br />navigation and distributed robot software systems, and worked for a number of years as a<br />senior researcher at the University of Sydney.</p>
<p><br />Hamish Hawthorn is Chief Executive Officer of ATP Innovations &ndash; Australia&rsquo;s premier<br />technology business incubator. ATP Innovations delivers commercialisation and business<br />expertise to emerging technology businesses. Hamish is a mechanical engineer and he has been<br />involved in the commercialisation of technology for over 15 years. Prior to joining ATP<br />Innovations he directed strategic business development for technology companies and worked<br />for the Federal and NSW Governments on early-stage entrepreneurship and technology<br />businesses.</p>
<p><br />Michael Quinn has 30 years experience in technology companies in Australia, USA and UK. He<br />is the founding partner of Innovation Capital, a venture capital fund and chairman of the<br />Enterprise Workshop. Previously he was a co-founder of Memtec, a world leader in advanced<br />filtration technology which was listed on the ASX, NASDAQ and then NYSE, and has been<br />Chief Executive Officer or a director of numerous listed and unlisted technology intensive<br />businesses.</p>
<p><br />The next NSW Enterprise Workshop program starts on 26 March<br />&ndash; Sessions are held at ATP Innovations<br />The program is conducted over 4 months part-time largely outside business hours.<br />1. The Workshop has helped to create and develop businesses since 1982.<br />2. You will learn how to identify and assess commercial opportunities and prepare a<br />realistic business plan as your &lsquo;roadmap&rsquo; to success.<br />3. A senior business person will work with your team as a mentor providing guidance<br />and counsel.<br />4. Many senior business people will share their business knowledge and experience<br />with you.<br />Government subsidies are available for eligible businesses - conditions apply.<br />Part payments are available on approval over the duration of the Program.</p>
