bizStart is a unique "pre-commercialisation" program designed to facilitate the development of a realistic business plan as a precursor to launching a technology business. Aimed at very early stage start-up companies in the process of establishing their business, preparing a business plan and early seed capital raising.

Clients entering this program can cheaply lease a workstation and have access to all of the ATP Innovations facilities for a period of 6 months. The aim is to ensure that early stage ventures have every chance of becoming established, and once they have, moving into the bizConnect Program.

  • Is a 3 month program with an optional extension for a further 3 months.

bizStart Entry Criteria

 

Entry to bizStart is competitive and there is a set of requirements that must be satisfied to apply:

  • Technology based business.
  • Desire to be part of the ATP Innovations community.
  • Initial business outline explaining the problem solved, potential market, competition and competitive advantage, route to market, business model and next steps.

bizStart Graduation Criteria (to bizConnect)


Successful graduation is defined by a number of factors which can be used to determine the successful development of a technology business including:

  • Prepared a viable business plan
  • Secured pre-seed or seed capital or have sustaining revenues to sustain business
  • Clearly identified products/services (excluding consulting services)
  • For bizConnect entry: Meet selection criteria


bizStart Exit Criteria

 

“Exit” may defined by a number of factors which can result in a business leaving the pre-incubator program including:

  • Being unable to articulate a credible business plan/business model – as judged by formal review at either 3 or 6 months
  • Contravening Licence agreement
